Expatriate Market
OMM specialises in advising the non-Spanish resident population who
live mainly in the popular coastal areas and the islands. These include:-
- Costa del Sol
- Costa Blanca
- Costa Brava
- Costa
Cálida
- Costa Almería
- Costa Tropical
- Costa de la Luz
- Mallorca/Menorca
- Tenerife
The largest populations of expatriates are found in the Costa
del Sol, the Costa Blanca and Mallorca. British expats form the
largest grouping followed by Scandanavians, Germans, Irish, Dutch
and, in very recent years, Eastern European nationals.

The common language is,
funnily enough, not Spanish but English and very few expatriate
residents would not be able to converse in English although, naturally,
depending on their fluency they may prefer to deal with one of
their own countrymen. This has not proved to a problem so far.
Around 80% of OMM’s clients have English as their mother tongue
so a lack of Spanish in potential AEs is not a problem. |

Professional
Introducer Network (PIN)
OMM’S PI NETWORK is an established network of professional appointed representatives
that promote and market OMM’s services and products to their clients. The
network is well established and has grown to become one of the main sources of
new business. Any new A.E. joining OMM would be given a number of existing PI’s
to either develop or manage the existing relationship. In total we currently
have over 80 PI’s throughout Spain. These PI’s are made up of lawyers,
accountants, estate agents, and individuals from other industries.
The process is very straight forward, once a PI is signed up OMM supply each
of their offices with an on line lead submission program and makes it extremely
simple for them to pass on referrals. If this referral results in new business
then the PI will be paid a % of the commission OMM have received. Commissions
start at 0.5% of the investment the clients makes, and this increases in bands
to a maximum of 1%. If we were dealing with an equity release case where the
average investment amount is €500,000, the introducer would receive €2,500
for simply giving us a referral. |
